Rooms at this Whitsunday Island Resort are situated in either the Pool, Lagoon and Beach Wings, whilst suites are located in the Pool and Lagoon Wings. The Pool Wing:
These rooms overlook the famous Hayman pool and tropical gardens. Level 3 also offers views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing is ideal for guests wishing to be close to and enjoy views of the iconic pool.

Pool Room: Located on level 2, overlooking the pool and tropical gardens. Each room has a spacious balcony and spacious marble bathroom with a shower over the bath. Room size is 37.64 sqm. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

Pool Access: Located on level 1, these rooms are uniquely located on the edge of the Hayman pool and offer the ultimate Hayman experience. Each room provides direct access from the balcony straight into the pool. Interior layout is the same as the Pool Room. Room size is 37.64sqm. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

Pool Deluxe: Located on level 3, overlooking the famous Hayman pool, tropical gardens, Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Special features include an open style contemporary bathroom with louvred shutters allowing stunning sea views from the bathroom. The bathroom features a separate shower and bath. Room size is 37.64sqm. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

Pool Suite: Located on levels 1, 2 and 3, overlooking the famous Hayman pool and tropical gardens. Suites on level 3 also offer views of the Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Each suite has a separate bedroom, dressing room and lounge/dining room. Special features include a double balcony and large marble bathroom with separate shower and bath. Suite size is 75sqm. An adjoining twin bedroom can be added to selected suites to create a 2 bedroom suite. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children.

The Lagoon Wing:
These rooms overlook the tranquil lagoon, tropical gardens and lagoon pool. This wing offers larger rooms and suites than those in the Pool Wing.

Lagoon Room: Located on level 1, 2 and 3, overlooking the Lily lagoon, lagoon pool and tropical gardens. Special features include a spacious bathroom with double vanity and open plan dressing room. Lagoon Deluxe: A select number of rooms that offer views of the Coral Sea, whilst overlooking the lily lagoon, lagoon pool and tropical gardens. The interior includes a spacious bathroom with double vanity, open plan dressing room and ensuite. Room size is 54 sqm. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children plus a baby cot may be placed in room for infant.

Lagoon Suite: Located on level 1, 2 and 3, overlooking the Lily lagoon, lagoon pool and tropical gardens. Suites on level 3 also offer views of the Hayman Beach and Coral Sea. Each of these suites have a separate bedroom, dressing room area, guest bathroom and lounge room. A large balcony is furnished with an outdoor teakwood setting. Special features include a double balcony, spacious living/dining room, walk in robe and open plan bathroom with centerpiece bath and double vanity. Suite size is 90 sqm. An adjoining twin bedroom can be added to selected suites to creat a 2 bedroom suite. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults & Children plus a baby cot may be placed in room for infant.

Penthouses: Located on Level 4 of the Lagoon Wing. The penthouses reflect a relaxed resort feel, featuring soft, natural textures, cool marbles and rich, warm woods. A large balcony furnished with an outdoor teakwood setting. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds in each bedroom. Maximum room capacity is 3 guests in a 1 Bedroom Penthouse, 5 guests in a 2 Bedroom Penthouse and 6 guests in a 3 Bedroom Penthouse.

The Retreat Wing:
Set amongst lush tropical gardens and only 10 metres to the beach, the Retreat Wing offers 16 Retreat Rooms that feature a verandah and outdoor rinse shower.

Retreat Room: Features a daybed and an open plan luxurious bathroom with a sunken bath that overlooks a private rockery garden with outdoor rainwater shower. Room size is 38 sqm. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults or 2 Adults and 1 Child.

Second Rooms for Families: Second room to be occupied by bona fide family members. Interconnecting rooms are available in some rooms but not guaranteed. Family rooms are not available during festive season.

Beach Villas: 8 villas that are located right on Hayman Beach. Features include a large private pool in an open air gallery with a day bed, a private terrace, an outdoor shower, a bathroom with an island bath and a separate shower. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & Children.

Beach House: Situated on the Hayman Beach, overlooking the Coral Sea, the house offers contemporary stylish beachfront living. Features include an enclosed courtyard, outdoor deck with refreshing plunge infinity pool, refreshment bar, 42 inch plasma screen and state of the art sound system. A large bathroom features a double vanity, frameless glass shower and centerpiece bath, plus personalized bathroom amenities. There is a separate guest bathroom and outdoor rockery shower. Luxurious in size - 90 sqm. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

Dining

Hayman Island offers restaurants and bars plus a lounge, and outdoor island settings for dining, including the Reef surrounds. Meals can also be enjoyed within guest rooms, at a Chef's banquet, or in other resort locations. Sunset cocktails and supper are served nightly.

Azure: Overlooking the Hayman Beach, Azure offers a buffet breakfast overflowing with tropical fruits, juices and all things healthy and some just indulgent. Azure is also open selected days for lunch and refreshments indoors or on the fabulous outdoor deck. Azure also offers selected dinner on selected days presenting from an open show kitchen, specialising in fresh seafood, in an indoor and outdoor setting.

The Beach Pavilion: Lunch is a relaxing affair in The Beach Pavilion, by the Hayman Beach and Lagoon Pool. This outdoor setting enjoys warm tropical breezes and features a selection of seafood, meat dishes and salads. A poolside service offers light refreshments throughout the day. Sunset cocktails are served each evening in this beautiful location, overlooking the Hayman Beach and Lagoon Pool.

Fontaine: Offers a formal, yet relaxed atmosphere - a sense of grand occasion - created by a combination of soft and rich tonings and romantic lighting amid Louis XVI furnishings, Waterford crystal chandeliers and a magnificent central limestone fountain. Guests are treated to an exquisite selection of authentically prepared modern European cuisine utilising the best in local and international produce. The cuisine is matched by Fontaine wine cellar's impressive range of over 750 vintages from the world's premier vineyards.

La Trattoria: Al fresco home-style Italian and Mediterranean dining in La Trattoria is enjoyed in a rustic indoor and outdoor setting of local timbers, hand beaten chandeliers, hanging vines and terracotta tiles. Famous for its spectacular antipasto displays and piping hot pizzas, La Trattoria's lively village atmosphere is enhanced by dance music from the resident band.

Oriental: Specialties of traditional Asian cultures are prepared with innovative flare at Oriental, overlooking a ceremonial tea house, which can seat 10 guests for a private dinner, and tranquil garden filled with rock pools and waterfalls. Dining platforms, each seating 4 guests, are scattered among exquisite gardens and provide a unique setting for dinner. Inside, Oriental is adorned with antiques and artifacts including 18th Century screens, copper lamps and a happy Buddha.

Children's Dining: Special two-course Kids Menus are available in selected Hayman's restaurants which have been designed just for children and offer healthy and nutritious food. For children aged 4-12 years inclusive, a 50% discount applies for children's portions selected from a la carte menus in the restaurants. Full prices apply for beverages. There is no charge for children aged up to 4 years dining in the restaurants or for milk or other formula ordered for babies' bottles through In Room Dining.

Diving

The Hayman Dive and Snorkel Centre is situated within Hayman's Marine Centre. Highly qualified dive instructors conduct a full range of PADI dive courses, escorted day and night dives, private charters and snorkel safari trips. Also available is the hire and sale of dive gear and snorkel equipment. Hayman offers a range of vessels from which guests can enjoy dive and snorkel activities. These include small speed boats to luxury cruisers available for private charter. Hayman Dive and Snorkel Centre conducts a range of PADI dive courses to suit guest requirements and courses are available on demand.

For the certified diver, Hayman's Dive and Snorkel Centre conducts excellent guided local diving around Hayman showcasing fantastic coral and marine life in picturesque settings. Courses include Discover Scuba Diving, Refresher Diving and Night Diving.

Hayman Island offers children many fun and exciting activities, they even have a special cottage just for kids nestled in the gardens near the marina called Hernando's Hideaway. This special place is home to the Kids Club and Creche and welcomes children to the age of 12 years. Babysitting services are also available in the resort.

Kids Club
Children aged 5 to 12 years. Open from 9am to 12noon and 2pm to 5pm. During school holidays, the kids club is also open in the evenings from 6pm to 9pm.
