Hayman is the perfect place to pamper yourself, unwind and above all, have fun. In addition to the magnificent surroundings of bushland, beaches and the Great Barrier Reef, the extraordinary sports and leisure facilities provide you with the opportunity to relax and breathe new energy into your lifestyle.

Children

Hayman offers children many fun and exciting activities, they even have a special cottage just for kids nestled in the gardens near the marina called Hernando's Hideaway. This special place is home to the Kids Club and Crèche and welcomes children to the age of 12 years. Babysitting services are also available in the resort.

Kids Club: For Children aged 5 to 12 years. Open from 9am to 12noon in the mornings and 2pm to 5pm in the afternoons. In School Holidays the Kids Club is also open in the evenings from 6pm to 9pm. Charges apply and special rates for more than one child. Children have great fun in the adventure playground plus there are watersports, arts and crafts and special dinners.

Crèche: For children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The Crèche is licenced by the Department of Families, Youth and Community Care and is open from 9am to 12noon mornings and 2.00pm to 5.00pm afternoons. Children enjoy outdoor games in the playground plus fun puzzles and other exciting activities.

Babysitting: Parents can book a babysitting if required. The cost will vary according to how many children in the family. Special rates apply over Christmas and New Year.

Dining

Hayman offers restaurants and bars plus a lounge, and outdoor island settings for dining, including the Reef surrounds. Meals can also be enjoyed within guest rooms, at a Chef's banquet, or in other resort locations. Sunset cocktails and supper are served nightly.

Azure: Overlooking the Hayman Beach, Azure offers a buffet breakfast overflowing with tropical fruits, juices and all things healthy and some just indulgent. Azure is also open selected days for lunch and refreshments indoors or on the fabulous outdoor deck. Azure also offers selected dinner on selected days presenting from an open show kitchen, specialising in fresh seafood, in an indoor and outdoor setting.

The Beach Pavilion: Lunch is a relaxing affair in The Beach Pavilion, by the Hayman Beach and Lagoon Pool. This outdoor setting enjoys warm tropical breezes and features a selection of seafood, meat dishes and salads. A poolside service offers light refreshments throughout the day. Sunset cocktails are served each evening in this beautiful location, overlooking the Hayman Beach and Lagoon Pool.

Hayman Pool Bar: Guests can order an appetising snack and refreshing beverage during the day in this very special setting.

Gourmet Hampers: For a special lunch option, Hayman can create a wholesome hamper of guest favourites for a day's outing… perhaps a boat cruise, picnic on the beach or island walk.

Chefs Table: This weekly event, hosted by Executive Chef, or a member of his Chef's brigade, takes guests behind the scenes into the Main Kitchen for a 6-course banquet with matching wines and includes a visit to the famous La Fontaine wine cellar and Chocolate Room.

La Fontaine: offers a formal, yet relaxed atmosphere - a sense of grand occasion - created by a combination of soft and rich tonings and romantic lighting amid Louis XVI furnishings, Waterford crystal chandeliers and a magnificent central limestone fountain. Guests are treated to an exquisite selection of authentically prepared modern European cuisine utilising the best in local and international produce. The cuisine is matched by La Fontaine wine cellar's impressive range of over 750 vintages from the world's premier vineyards.

La Trattoria: Al fresco home-style Italian and Mediterranean dining in La Trattoria is enjoyed in a rustic indoor and outdoor setting of local timbers, hand beaten chandeliers, hanging vines and terracotta tiles. Famous for its spectacular antipasto displays and piping hot pizzas, La Trattoria's lively village atmosphere is enhanced by dance music from the resident band.

Oriental: Specialties of traditional Asian cultures are prepared with innovative flare at Oriental, overlooking a ceremonial tea house, which can seat 10 guests for a private dinner, and tranquil garden filled with rock pools and waterfalls. Dining platforms, each seating 4 guests, are scattered among exquisite gardens and provide a unique setting for dinner. Inside, Oriental is adorned with antiques and artifacts including 18th Century screens, copper lamps and a happy Buddha.

The Club Lounge: For a quiet, relaxing drink or late night supper, the soothing, traditional setting of The Club Lounge awaits.

Children's Dining: Special two-course Kids Menus are available in selected Hayman's restaurants which have been designed just for children and offer healthy and nutritious food. For children aged 4-12 years inclusive, a 50% discount applies for children's portions selected from a la carte menus in the restaurants. Full prices apply for beverages. There is no charge for children aged up to 4 years dining in the restaurants or for milk or other formulae ordered for babies' bottles through In Room Dining.
